Emmanouela Kakavia has completed three workshops
in Byzantine art (workshops: Th. Petrou, D. Chatziapostolou and I. Cordis), as
well as free design courses and the educational program "Creating Comics:
History, Language, Types and Techniques of Narration" by the National and
Kapodistrian University of Athens. She holds a State Degree in Television
Direction, as well as a University Degree of History-Archeology-Art (School of
Humanities and Social Sciences of Cyprus in Hellenic Culture). Since 2018, she
is a member of the IBBY, as illustrator.
She has worked at the National TV Channel of
Greece (ERT). She is specialized on Byzantine style and her
artworks are very popular to individual art collectors.
She also illustrates fairy tales for children
and adults. Μany of the books she has illustrated have been published.
She is A' Design Award winner in 2019 Graphics and Visual Communication Design Award Category.
Emmanouela lives in Athens with her husband and her two children.
